For more than 30 years, I have had a genuine passion for photography. My philosophy has been to approach it as a true form of creative expression. It is my goal to capture an image that fully conveys to the viewer all the beauty and impact of a moment in time. I believe that the ability to visualize a scene, a location or a human activity, and compose all of the elements as near perfectly as possible in a photograph, is a gift from God. My hope and desire is to convey, through my photographic images, all the beauty, wonder and perfection of God's creations - the earth, plants, animals and humankind.

The Great Smoky Mountains is by far my most favorite destination for making photographic images. I have explored and photographed numerous locations within the park and at the periphery of it's bounderies. It offers to me an endless diversity of plant and animal life, its beautiful ancient mountains, valleys and streams, and the quaint remnants of Southern Appilachian mountain culture.
